I’m Chana, the founder of Where 2 Nexxt. After working for years in various director, coordinator, and project management roles, I decided to take the skill sets that I gained from those positions and channel them into Where 2 Nexxt. My motivation is pretty simple: I believe that accessible travel on a micro and macro scale has the ability to give a gift to individuals and families that few other experiences can. So, after years of making itineraries for friends, family, acquaintances, and now for my son and I, I’m excited to help you plan your next trip too!

Our Story

The full story behind Where 2 Nexxt has its origins in my childhood. My parents were big believers in traveling, and would take us along. On these trips, we bonded as a family, grew to know ourselves, and learned so many values that were so easily absorbed thanks to the circumstances we encountered. As I became more aware of how these trips contributed to my skill sets, mentality, and so many other parts of me, I started adding solo trips, sibling trips, friend trips, and even trips with my toddler to my calendar.

Now, I have tremendous gratitude for the experiences my parents gave us that took us near and far, but the next part of the Where 2 Nexxt journey came as an adult. I started to discover that every kind of trip can contribute significantly to my life and who I am. In fact, once a week, I try to take my toddler somewhere that’s 1-2 hours away, and those trips are usually free, but are some of my most cherished experiences. There is something incredibly special about discovering a nature trail, beach, or museum 1.5 hours away from me. My toddler and I share that experience and get time away from our regular routine. The bonding that comes as a result is indescribable and would you believe me that my 2 year old was really truly learning? He was teaching adults the difference between different construction vehicles, identified a 500 lbs sea turtle as “too big,” and would wake up asking for his hiking backpack. His hiking backpack! Even though our block doesn’t have a blade of grass, he loves nature! This is all not to mention that there is something magical about discovering a place that I never knew about, learning about the diversity in experiences in my own neck of the woods, while getting to be with people I love.

That said, the final catalyst came after years of making travel itineraries for family, friends and acquaintances. I think when I saw from a parent’s perspective how much trips, large and small, give me and my child and my friends and their children, I decided I want to help more people access deep meaningful experiential travel—whatever their own travel style may be.
